Impossible Sky-sighting Writing Prompt

Write the first scene of a narrative where your character spots this impossible sky-sighting from the plane window. Your job: build mystery, disbelief, and a rising sense that something extraordinary is about to involve you. Include details like what your character first thinks it is how the light, clouds, or movement make the moment feel unreal how the other passengers react (or don’t) whether the shape gets closer, changes direction, or sends a signal what your character decides to do next Possible Narrative Directions (choose one or make your own) The sky-traveler leaves something behind… and only you notice. The creatures pulling the sleigh-shape look tired or hurt — and you’re the only one who sees it. A message appears on your phone right after you spot it. The pilot makes an unexpected announcement. The shape vanishes into the clouds — but so does the plane’s sense of direction. Optional Extension Write a second paragraph from the point of view of whoever is riding in the sleigh-shaped silhouette. What do they think when they notice you watching?
