Dinosaur Informative Writing Prompt
You’ve travelled back in time and had the most amazing encounter of your life: a real dinosaur steps out of the ancient forest and stares right at you. Your heart is pounding, but your curiosity wins. You pull out your field notebook, ready to record everything before the moment disappears.
Create a Field Guide Entry for any dinosaur you choose.
It can be a well-known one, like a T. rex or Stegosaurus, or a completely new species you invent. Include:
- Dinosaur Name: real or imagined
- Diet: what it eats and how it finds food
- Habitat: where it lives
- Behavior: how it moves, hunts, hides, protects itself, or interacts
