Flying Cube Picture Prompt

It didn’t float.

It raced through the clouds, glowing, spinning, and trailing sparks like fire and ice.

One moment, the sky was quiet. Next, a cube unlike anything Earth had ever seen tore through the atmosphere, glowing from within, leaving a storm of light and energy in its wake.

People around the world stopped in their tracks. Was it a meteor? A weapon? A sign? Cameras turned. Sirens blared. Then it slowed down… just enough for someone to see that it wasn’t falling.

It was steering.

Write a descriptive text that captures the moment the sky cube arrived.

Use your five senses to describe:

  • What the sky looked like as the cube appeared.
  • The sounds that filled the air.
  • How the light and energy moved across the clouds.
  • The reaction of the people below.
  • The feeling in the air: fear, wonder, electricity?

Paint the scene with words. Let your reader feel like they were right there when it happened.
